Diagonal Crochet Puff Stitch

I’ve written another pattern. This is a puff stitch that is crocheted in the diagonal. Instead of working from bottom to top, you start by making the bottom left corner and increase every row until you have reached the desired size you want. Then you decrease every row and end in the top right corner. This pattern is for making a square shape. With this pattern you can make any size ranging from a wash cloth, to baby blanket, to throw size or even a blanket. The puffs are prominent and soft. In the pictured examples I used Red Heart yarn and a size K hook but this will work with any weight yarn.

Check this pattern out on my Ravelry Page!

Gentle Puff Stich

This blanket is very light. Puff stitch is small and gentle which makes this a great receiving blanket or for a newborn. This pattern works well with thin baby sport yarn but will work with any yarn weight.

This pattern is crocheted in the diagonal. It is wonderful because its textured, fast to crochet and reversible. It is also easy to make. This pattern works with any weight yarn and hook size. It is perfect for baby blankets or throws or even blankets. In the example I used a size K crochet hook and Caron Simply Soft yarn.

You begin your blanket by making the bottom left corner (As seen in the picture below.) Each row increases by 2 stitches until you reach the size you want. Then, you decrease each row by 2 stitches until you finish your project in the top left corner.

Crochet Ripple Pattern

I had just recently moved into my first home with my husband and kids/furbabies. This was the beginning of a new chapter for my family. Despite how boring the unpacking, I was excited to finally have my own home to decorate. One night I was watching TV and I was freezing! Before I moved to a new state, I had lived in Florida my whole life so these cold nights/winters was a new thing to me. I realized I had no afghans or throws to keep me warm because I never needed one before. That was when I decided my first project in my new home would be an afghan.

My cat was like a kid in a candy store when I brought home the yarn. I found a crochet pattern called Neat Ripple Pattern by Lucy from Attic24. Her pattern was written using UK terms and I have rewritten it using US terms incase it is easier for you to read. I love her pattern, it is beautiful, easy, and quick to crochet.
